9:00:   Keynote Speaker: Ana Estevez, Surviving the Unthinkable- One Mother's Heroic Strength and Courage to Take on a Broken SystemThis keynote presentation, a tribute to her son Piqui, will bring forward and expose "business-as-usual" systemic issues in her tragic journey, while highlighting the resilience it takes to fight for systemic accountability and change.  Ana will speak to surviving trauma and creating change while searching for justice.

10:00:   Panel Discussion with Kathleen Russell and Catherine Campbell: Speaking Truth to Power - How to Effectively Agitate for Change & Expose Judicial Child Trafficking: This panel will cover the nuts and bolts of effective advocacy for protective parents, children and their allies who wish to transform their family court trauma into meaningful social change work. Presenters will share real-world stories & tips on raising awareness & inspiring the bold action we need from the lawmakers, journalists & opinion leaders who matter most.


11:15:    Panel Discussion with Courageous Kids: Surviving The Family Court Nightmare- Building a Life After Years of Court-Induced Trauma: These brave survivors whose childhoods were ruined by family court trauma talk frankly about the challenges they’ve faced as young adults working to build a rich life full of trusting relationships, meaningful work, happiness, healing and fun.

DeAnn Salcido (Ret.): Insider Insights- Learn How Family Court Judges ThinkThis workshop will explore matters of child sexual abuse and domestic violence from a judge's perspective, and help parents and professionals understand potential pitfalls involved in these cases.

3:30:     Workshop with Jody Barnes, LCSW, RYT: Trauma Informed Mindfulness for Survivors and PractitionersIn this workshop, Jody will share her work as a trauma-informed yoga instructor and psychotherapist.  She will specifically be focusing on her work with domestic violence and child abuse survivors, as well as addressing the issues of vicarious trauma for those who work in the trauma field. Leading participants through an experiential, somatic session will help bring peace, healing, and closure to the conference.
